GUNS
AND AMMUNITION
A classic, non elaborate 12 calibre shooting rifle is best.
You can buy at the campsite. 7 1/2 or 6 lead calibre cartridges, at a cst of
approximately 0.53 Euro each.
The authorities prohibit the importing cartridges or semi-automatic
rifles.
FORMALITIES
Passports :A
valid passport with at least 6 months valid left on the passport.
Visa: The
visa will be delivered before departure, by the Burkina Faso Embassy.
Health : Certificate
showing
a course of vaccinations.Anti-malaria and anti-tetanus treatment
recommended.
Guns and hunting permits : Send
us the forms for importing guns. Take two photos with you to set-up
your hunting permit.
MONEY
Euros, but no limit on amount you can bring or denomination.
EQUIPMENT
1 Pair of sunglasses, 1 rudsack,
1 supple gun holster, 1 lamp/torch,
1 flask with a large neck, 1 multi-tooled ocket-knife, first-aid kit
and personal medication, a camera or video camera (bring your battery
charger since the camp has electrical supply ) . Gadgets or small gifts
for the porters and aides.
CLOTHING
Deep coloured cotton khakis, shorts and trousers, underwear and long
sleave shirts (made from cotton) , casual evening-wear, jacket or
pull-over, hunting hat or lignt cap with visor, socks in lignt wool or
cotton, light canvas shoes or light walking shoes (avoid new shoes),
light shoes.
